Comments
Comments: I had it in my mind to check out Eagle Cliff but it didn't happen. There were two contributing factors to this: 1) I started in the early afternoon and 2) I ended up getting cliffed out at about 3200'. Had I started earlier I might have had time to explore more and find a reasonable route up but I hit my turn around time and I'm pretty vigilant about that when off trail. I don't 'need' this peak for any sort of list but perhaps with a much earlier start I'll give it another go sometime...I'm sure the summit isn't going anywhere. As it happened I did stumble upon an open spot with a nice view so I hung out there for a bit before descending and enjoyed some time in the wild and wonderful Eagle Pass on my way out.

No issues on Greenleaf Trail and I only encountered 10 or so folks total. I did a 'fish hook' of sorts once through the pass toward the summit. Off trail I followed some game looking paths and mostly easy/moderate woods until the cliffs where I turned around. No disappointment or regret about not summiting...just being able to wander for a while is good enough for me.
