Comments: i wish this forum allowed for editing of posts. i forgot to mention that the section of The Link that I completed between Castle & Caps Ridge, is pretty much spot on with the description in the guidebook. LOTs of roots and DEEP holes between rocks & roots. there is one tricky piece of vertical rock that you can't get over gracefully no matter which direction you are going in. the trail does 'soften' a bit as it gets closer to Caps Ridge. The trail was pretty dry...the brook with the mossy ledges, was barely a trickle. There is a blue hand knit hat on a tree after the slide that gave me a bit of a fright. it may have found its final resting place as it appears to have been there awhile.
