all crossings fine with low water. |

a couple of blowdowns on great gulf tr. and a little trimming needed on upper part of Wamsutta. the chandler brook tr. needs a lot of work. more markings on the boulders up top and lots of trimming and major everything needed. |

I had never been on Wamsutta and chandler before and will never go on chandler brook trail again! great gulf trail is quite the nice hike and Wamsutta is both scary and thrilling at the same time. it was very hard work. 2 guys came up behind me and said the same thing. they went ahead and went down chandler brook too. we both took the winter cut-off to mostly avoid the auto road and it was good but hard to follow at times. the chandler brook tr. was by far the toughest. very hard work and tough to follow. the walk out on the great gulf tr. felt fabulous after that grind. I saw about 20 other hikers thru the day. |
