Comments
Comments: First time doing the Bonds, loved this approach. Zealand Trail is a breeze, then you're at the falls. The rest of the hike is loaded with views. Twinway has tons of relatively flat stretches, so it goes quicker than anticipated. Even the Bonds don't feel as steep as they look, with the exception of the climb back up Bond from Bondcliff. Was cold and windy on Guyot this morning, warmed a little by West Bond. Got a treat when one of the few times the wind subsided and the sun came out was when I got to Bondcliff. Lincoln and Lafayette looked shrouded all day, as did the Presis, but the views from Bondcliff were tremendous. Cold and windy on the way back up Bond, then comfortable for the rest of the hike. Tons of people at the hut and on the trails, everyone was very friendly. Highly recommended.
