Water Crossing Notes: No issues. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Shannon's Trail is becoming pretty overgrown past the observation platform where it passes through the old blueberry pasture. Otherwise, no issues on any of these trails.

Dog-Related Notes: Sure. We had two with us. Not too much water around though so carry extra.

Lost and Found: Nothing. 
 
Comments
Comments: A very cool loop over the peak going counter-clockwise. I'd never been on Summit West Trail before and it's a joy. Steep and rugged, my kind of route, but you lose a lot of elevation first by taking Lower Link to get to it.

Excellent views from the picnic table outlook and various ledges. We took the short herd path to the wooded true summit by the cell tower. The USGS benchmark is still missing. :(

On the way down, we split off Shannon's shortly below the knoll and took Gregg Trail the rest of the way to enjoy its grand vistas of the Wapack Range. A great day out with a fun group!
