Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: well.... hahah kate sleeper trail sign is hidden if you come up and blends in on the way down. Then it is beautiful until you get to east sleeper. A lot of blow downs on the spur to east sleeper, and a lot of overgrown can't even see your feet brush from east sleeper spur to downes brook trail. I don't really recall seeing many blazes on mcgrillis trail either, would be difficult in the winter to follow
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: the rock slabs on mcgrillis would have been a little sketchy to see a dog down it but we saw two going up and soon to come back.
Bugs
Bugs: just some knats at the end
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: lost nothing and found nothing

Comments
Comments: Well it would a good carspot since sandwich notch road is open and in pretty darn good shape still. The day was brisk and we only had to see a handful of people due to the trails we were on. kate sleeper trail is great once you get past the little slide section in the beginning. East sleeper is wow a mess different since i had been there last in 2014, but the sigh remains. I expected a worst ascent up to rollins trail but it was quite nice and out and back to the summit was good. We got to have some ledges in the sun and then headed down mcgrillis which was pretty down til 2600' since it seems no matter what way you want up whiteface it is up hahaha. good day out and good day for some redlines.
