Parked in cul de sac at end of road; not posted but did find a note on our car when returned. There seem to be places to pullout on the side before you get this far that would be better. |

We headed down the two track road just beyond the col de sac and went about .2 miles, just before seeing a house and started to bushwhack straight towards the peak. Clean woods. Crossed the private road and reentered the wood on the same heading, eventually finding an unofficial but fairly well-traveled trail which took us to the summit. Located the cairn and yellow banded tree on a higher bump to the left of the trail. Hung a new jar. Returned to the trail and continued to the view point with metal seat and awesome views. Headed back on the unofficial trail following it all the way down to the private road. For future reference, if you whack to the road, walk up it until you see a clearing with some large boulders on the right. The unofficial trail pops out about 50' before you reach them. The road itself is posted at its intersection with Mount Cleveland Road so you'll have to bushwhack back to the two track. |
