| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We got one of the last parking spot Saturday morning. When we returned to our car on Sunday there was a great deal of overflow running down the Kanc. |

| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
|
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Doable without getting your feet wet - my partner rock hopped and I walked through the last couple of crossings on the way in (nice cool down). |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few blowdowns near the top of Owl's Head Path, thigh high. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Only two or three dogs on the trail. |
|
| Bugs: |
Got bit up near Black Pond but the views were worth it. Cool temps on Sunday made for less bugs on the main trails back to the trailhead. |
|
| Lost and Found: |
Toilet paper found even on the bushwacks - really gross. Please take your trash with you! |

| Comments: |
Started out at 9am Saturday. Experienced some heavy downpours and thunder and some tough winds later in the day - waited out some of these storms while eating, finding camp, before summiting to be on the safe side. Trail was in fine shape, met a few folks who were upset about how the trail wasn't marked well but we didn't personally have any trouble. Some wandering on the bushwacks, had the Gaia app handy and overall had no issues. Shocked to see so many folks so far in the woods early Sunday morning - lots of early risers! More people on the trail Sunday compared to Saturday, maybe because of Saturday's predicted lightning and rain. Overall a beautiful, fun, hike. |
