Comments
Comments: too many to list; returned from Mack back to Gunstock via round pond and red trail

The purpose of this report is for anybody who is considering whether to do this as a big loop hike. The order in which I listed the summits is the order in which I hiked them, which gives a good indication which trails I used. Total mileage car-to-car 24mi; ascend/descend: approx. 8570ft each. Used my Garmin etrex to measure distance and elevation, and as always the ascend/descend numbers are slightly different, so I split the difference, which resulted in 8570ft. I think it's a great loop to determine fitness level for a Presi traverse or Pemiloop-in-a-day. It's way easier though than the aforementioned, as the Belknap trails are much easier (footing,...). And much more solitude (except when being in the proximity of Mt Major).

Water at Round Pond not good for drinking; it's sitting/stagnant/dirty water. One stream between Anna and Mack still had good flow, and I refilled one of my bottles there (and treated the water) in the latter part of my journey.
