|
| | Date of Hike: | Saturday, August 3, 2019 | | | | | Parking/Access Road Notes: | Parking is at the end of Zealand Rd, off of Rt. 302. By the time we got there, we had to park on the side of the road. | | | | | Surface Conditions: | Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable | | | | | Recommended Equipment: | | | | | | Water Crossing Notes: | Most brooks are crossed by stable wooden bridges, the ones that weren't were easy. Water levels are very low. | | | | | Trail Maintenance Notes: | There was a tree down across the lower portion of the Twinway near Zealand Falls hut that posed as a difficulty to hikers with larger backpacks. | | | | | Dog-Related Notes: | Saw a few climbing up Mt. Zealand, I wouldn't suggest bringing a dog if you are backpacking at Guyot campsite. | | | | | Bugs: | A lot of black flies and mosquitos in the lower elevations. | | | | | Lost and Found: | None | | |
 |
| | | | Comments: | There were great views on Guyot and the Bondcliff ridge, but the wind was very harsh. I would suggest climbing up West Bond to see the sunrise or sunset. | | | | | Name: | Mountain goat | | | | | E-Mail: | | | | | | Date Submitted: | 2019-08-07 | | | | | Link: | https:// | | | | Disclaimer: Reports are not verified - conditions may vary.
