Comments: Uknown Trails, Land Trust Trails, Bushwhacks, Snowmobile Trails

bryan has a great post on this hike, which was helpful. I followed a footpath path around the pond and up to the ledge. A land trust trail left the ledge. I bushwhacked out to Bumfagging, encountering a snowmobile trail near the top and visiting both highpoints. I headed back towards the pond and followed the ridge southeast of the pond towards Stonehouse Mountain. The land trust has a trail that follows this ridge and heads up the peak, but does not summit. I bushwhacked to the highpoint and then bushwhacked straight back to the pond.

The ledge was a very nice spot, which seems popular. While Bumfagging Hill often prompts ridicule, this proved to be a nice hike while I was in SE NH for work.
