||Not much water. Streams mostly dry. |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||All good. |
||Mosquitoes in the afternoon at lower elevations. Hoards of black flies on the talus slope between Vose Spur and Carrigain. |
|Lost and Found:
||The herd path from Carrigain Notch up to Vose Spur is well traveled and easy to follow. We never lost it at all from bottom to top. Only a few alternative paths that reconnect at higher/lower elevations.|
The bushwack from Vose Spur to Carrigain was challenging and slow going. There was no herd path at all, only a few game trails nearer to Carrigain. The undergrowth is thick and the terrain steep in places. Views of Signal Ridge were great from the talus slope.
