Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Bridge near trailhead tricky, as there is a tall but narrow monorail in the middle of it...might be easier to wait until crossing that bridge before putting on the snowshoes. One of the smaller crossings was open (hoppable), but the rest were still snowbridged.

Comments
Comments: Trail hadn't be used since most recent snowfall. Maybe 2" of powder down low, increasing to 6-8" up high, with deeper drifts. Sticky in sunlight, though that snow was starting to turn to granular later in the day. Snowpack is very firm on and off trail for snowshoeing - great for bushwhacking. Some monorail and postholes lurking down low. Trail fairly well packed out now, though from the cabin and up is probably already drifted in. About 5 minutes below the cabin, tracks heading east will take you to the scree fields.
