Trail is in great shape. Dry as a bone. The blowdowns mentioned earlier have all been cleared.
I even noticed new blue paint on the trail blazes.
Nice work. Thank you to those that perform this trail maintenance. It is very much appreciated. |

Great day for a hike. Views of the Presidential range were great once the clouds burned off. I was there early in the morning so the summit of Moriah was still cloud covered. Mt. Surprise was in the clear though and the views from there were great.
I was pleasantly surprised when I got to the summit of Mt Surprise (pun intended) to find voluminous ripe blueberries. What a wonderful and unexpected treat. They were so good, and I ate at least a pint of those little gems!
Thank you Mother Nature for providing such a nice treat.
