Someone barebooted the lower half of the trail and really made it uneven. We had to be careful not to sprain an ankle. The trail was drifted over around Mount Surprise and higher. Below the summit of Moriah the last person up wandered all around and we definitely weren't on the trail in places. We still made it to the top. The winds bark was worse than its bite and we enjoyed the views from the summit for about 10 minutes. We didn't have any trouble following our tracks back down the mountain though around Mount Surprise it was beginning to get blown over. Overall it was an awesome day and we had the whole mountain to ourselves. PLEASE WEAR SNOWSHOES!!! I don't want to break an ankle because of postholes!!! |
