Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Haystack Road is in good condition. The small lot at the end of the road was full at 7:30AM. Many vehicles parked on one side of the road. Parking is prohibited on the other side of the road to allow for passage of vehicles.

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: I avoided the first two crossings of Little River by taking the alternative path. The third crossing was easy as the water level was relatively low. Crossed just a few feet upstream of a direct crossing on the path.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: One sizable evergreen across the trail on North Twin Spur. The tree had been de-limbed so the duck under passage was fine. The North Twin Trail seemed like a dry brook bed with so many rocks. Many of the small rocks are loose. I imagine water runs off down the trail after rain storms and the Spring thaw. The North Twin Trail could use some rock steps or water bars to help control erosion. The North Twin Spur trail had the usual mud spots but there are many strategically placed rocks to traverse these sections with dry boots. Otherwise, the North Twin Trail maintenance is fine as the pathway was clear.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw some dogs. All were friendly today.

Comments
Comments: Lots of hikers coming to the Twins from many approaches.

Good views from both summits although the humidity cut down on the clarity.
