We parked where Forrest Road 23 leaves Mill Brook Road. Numbers are scrapped off all of the FR road signs. |

Fisher Mtn. trail clearly has some maintenance and is mainly straight forward to follow. There seem to be some marked routes along the ridge. We encountered the maintainer on Tecumseh. |

We followed FR 23, FR 23C, to FR 23D, which turned to the trail to Fisher. The trail was mainly straight forward to follow but took care on the slabs. We were grateful for the dry conditions as we hit the slabs. From Fisher, we followed a standard route part of the way to Hogback and then bushwhacked to the recognized summit and nice views. We continued on to Green, hitting some tight woods in places. We reached the recognized highpoint at the west end of the contour and followed a marked route most of the way to the sosman, losing the blazes in places. Even the blazed section was uncut and required bushwhacking.
This was a very nice hike, which we had both had our eyes on for some time. |
