Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: 1 on caps ridge (I’ve seen it on Instagram- it hikes a lot). 1 at Madison Hut. This didn’t seem like a dog friendly route except valley way
Bugs
Bugs: Mixed. Light to none on caps ridge and Jefferson. Some on gulfside. A lot on top of Adams and I just left it was so annoying. Few on star lake. Some up and down Madison. Moderate on top of Madison. Few on valley way. Bring and use spray is my advice

Comments
Comments: Nice day in the northern presidentials. If you like rock scrambling, this is a hike for you. Some of it is noticeable and woke me up - caps ridge and star lake trails. If you don’t like steep, stay away from these two (and maybe most of the area). I would say Valley Way was the only standard trail I was on today. It was an interesting jaunt. Nice out. Scrambled the whole way. Some nice folks. Nothing much to report as far as trail conditions- really really good.
