Parking/Access Road Notes: Road is in good shape. The gate was open at 6AM when I arrived and at 6PM when I left. I was the only vehicle at the York Pond Trailhead.
Surface Conditions

Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: York Pond Trail had one wooden bridge and 3 other crossings were easy walk through in shallow water.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: These trails are in fair shape. The footpath is worn but there are a lot of ferns and some grass that you have to look through to make your way so that you can step well and miss the roots and rocks. There are many blowdowns on the Weeks section of the KRT to walk around or over or duck under. There are some faint yellow blazes that need to be refreshed. I clipped some branches as I hiked with a pair of hand pruners.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: None
Bugs: Some flying insects but not as bothersome as they were a few weeks ago.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Nothing
Comments: A great day with temps from 50 to 75, sunny sky with some clouds. Saw 2 hikers at Mt Waumbek and had the rest of the trails to myself. Saw some moose tracks in the mud on the York Pond Trail and enjoyed the birds singing all day.
