Hale Brook Trail |
| Date of Hike: |
Sunday, July 14, 2019 |
| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
TH lot was overflowing in the AM, many cars on Zealand Rd. Lot could have held more if people wouldn't leave 1/2 car-width gaps between vehicles. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Both crossings of Hale Brook trivially easy. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Many of the waterbars on the lower portion of the trail are silted up and overtop during rain. They need to be cleaned. Several areas of water on the trail in the upper portion that could be addressed. No blowdowns. Brushing is fine, though there are a few areas that could be trimmed back. Blazing is adequate -- trail is very easy to follow. |
