There are at least 8 water crossings on the Castle Ravine Trail. Probably more as I lost count. Do not attempt these in high water unless you want to get wet. |

This was a great hike on some underutilized trails. The Castle Ravine Trail climbs a headwall that may look daunting, but is probably one of the best labeled ones out there. The trail was super easy to follow and it felt like a short climb up as we had made it over the headwall after 30 minutes of climbing.
The Castle Trail has a few "castles" that are fun rock structures to climb on and take a little break. Just watch out as it is a shear cliff on one side of them.
If you want to do the loop, I recommend doing it clockwise by ascending Castle Ravine and descending Castle. |
