| | Date of Hike: | Sunday, July 7, 2019 | | | | | Parking/Access Road Notes: | | | | | | Surface Conditions: | Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Mud - Significant | | | | | Recommended Equipment: | | | | | | Water Crossing Notes: | Two short crossings down low on the Unknown Pond that get the feet a little wet. | | | | | Trail Maintenance Notes: | Lower 1.5 miles of Unknown Pond have lots of mud. From 2.0 to about 2.8 miles, several sections where ferns need a machete. When dry, it's not a problem, but where leaves were wet (as they were in the upper part), it was like a sponge bath. | | | | | Dog-Related Notes: | | | | | | Bugs: | Surprisingly light! I did not use the bug spray. | | | | | Lost and Found: | | | |

| | | | Comments: | On the Horn, the summit is a big rock. Go around the rock to the left to get to the summit. Some steep drop-offs to the right. Nice views in several directions. On Cabot, for the true summit, take a short path to the NW. | | | | | Name: | MAD | | | | | E-Mail: | | | | | | Date Submitted: | 2019-07-08 | | | | | Link: | https:// | | | | Disclaimer: Reports are not verified - conditions may vary.
