Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Two short crossings down low on the Unknown Pond that get the feet a little wet.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Lower 1.5 miles of Unknown Pond have lots of mud. From 2.0 to about 2.8 miles, several sections where ferns need a machete. When dry, it's not a problem, but where leaves were wet (as they were in the upper part), it was like a sponge bath.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Surprisingly light! I did not use the bug spray.

Comments
Comments: On the Horn, the summit is a big rock. Go around the rock to the left to get to the summit. Some steep drop-offs to the right. Nice views in several directions. On Cabot, for the true summit, take a short path to the NW.
