 | Comments: |
This was an accidental summit of Ragged Jacket and Mount Meader as we had intended to do a loop using Black Angel and Wild River trail. We accidentally took Basin Rim trail at the Rim Junction. If you want Black Angel (or Black Anglee as it is listed on the sign), it is the unblazed trail that cuts back sharply right at the Rim junction as you approach from the Basin Trail.
Nice restricted views on Basin Rim Trail. The allure of soaking hot feet in an ice cold mountain stream on Basin Trail brought us back down our initial route rather than course correcting and continuing onto our initial route plan. Cool hike in the Wild River Wilderness. |
