Overall, the trail was in great shape. Yes, there were bugs, but they were blown away on the modest breezes. It was a great day out. The cascades are amazing, and DOC keeps them on a short leash. Views were superlative, as you get on that mountain on a sunny day. If this one is on your list, get to it sooner, rather than later.
