Comments
Comments: Easy rock hopping ascent, and even some dirt on the way up to Mount Tom. The "views" up there are a laugh-and-a-half. Mount Field was beautiful. Lovely 0.9 mile ascent from junction to junction. Lots of bare, slabby rocks to walk up. The descent from Field was rough - total rock garden. Avalon is just a gem. Made the whole loop worth it. Incredible views into Crawford Notch and the Southern Presidentials.

Trails are wet and have running water in places.
