 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
I parked roadside along Briar Hill Road in Hopkinton, a short distance east of Penacook Road. Here, a snowmobile trail enters the woods on the north side of the road, marked by a yellow arrow sign. Several yards further east a clear woods road appears to head off toward the peak, but is posted as private property. |

 | Comments: |
This is the 654 ft. hill near the Concord / Hopkinton town line. From the road I followed the snowmobile trail, which was initially marked with orange blazes that quickly stopped, up to its height-of-land on the west side of the hill (it continues down to the north to meet the old railroad bed which traverses Mast Yard State Forest, also a snowmobile trail).
From the HOL I made a short bushwhack through open woods up to the unrecognized wooded summit. I had read there was trailed access to the top, but I didn't see any trails leaving the summit. There are a couple of bumps within the highest contour - the easternmost seemed to be slightly higher. I followed the same route out. |
