Peaks
Peaks Mt. Pierce, Mt. Jackson, NH
Trails
Trails: Crawford Path, Webster Cliff Trail, Webster Jackson Trail
Date of Hike
Date of Hike: Sunday, June 23, 2019
Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking lots were in great shape. 6:30am arrival and there were still a lot of cars around, most likely overnighters. 12:40 return and we found just about all spots filled.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Very manageable. Recent rain did not cause significant issues with crossings
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The overall trip trails were in great shape. No obstructions. Some wooden ladders on the way down to Mizpah Springs Hut from Pierce were breaking down with age but held our weight - might need addressing in the near future.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Plenty of dogs enjoying themselves... carrying the mud trail with them.
Bugs
Bugs: The high wind levels kept the bugs away most of the day. When finishing and the wind diminished, the mosquitoes came out in full force. The Observatory weather link helped prepare us for this.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: None and none.

Comments
Comments: Great trip! Really enjoyed the clockwise route hitting Pierce first then Jackson to finish. Slippery rocks needed attention - they remained wet from the rain the previous day.
