A three family hike since we met our Nordic Ski friends by chance in the north end lot. The trails are in good summer shape other than one tricky blow down. North slide was a little slick at the bottom with wet moss, but after the initial 1/4 mile it was totally dry. The ridge was clear but much thicker with gnats and black flies than expected. South slide was loose in spots but no more than usual. The hike out had 2-3 mud holes but nothing that took more than 4 steps to cross. A good day out for 6 adults and 5 little mountain goats. |
