Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The major one is manageable and easier with a pole or poles, the others are easily hop-a-ble.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Once we started to ascend there were quite a few wet and muddy stretches due to all the rain on Thursday and Friday, especially south of the one major river crossing, and it was quite slippery on the descent. I don't recall any blowdowns.

Dog-Related Notes: The few we saw were well-behaved and muddy.
Bugs
Bugs: Plenty in the parking lot and occasionally in the shady spots. None once we got to Garfield Ridge Trail.

Comments
Comments: I hit 40/48 today! First time at Galehead? Don't expect any views from the summit but there's a nice overlook on the climb up from the hut.
