|Hiking Trail Conditions Report|
||Little Haystack Mountain, Mt. Lincoln, Mt. Truman, Mt. Lafayette, NH|
||Falling Waters Trail, Franconia Ridge Trail, Greenleaf Trail, Old Bridle Path|
|Date of Hike:
||Tuesday, June 18, 2019|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Plenty of spots left at 7:45am |
||Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||Rock hopped and walked across shallow running water on Falling Waters |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||Started at 7:45am and didn't see any significant number bugs except both times I passed treeline and on the Old Bridle Path. Wore long sleeves and pants and kept moving and wasn't bothered by the blackflies despite not using any DEET. |
|Lost and Found:
||This was my second time doing the loop. This time I did it counter-clockwise, but IMO when the hut is open, going clockwise is better so that you can refill water at the hut and carry less water on the uphill.|
Beautiful day to be out. No snow or ice anywhere so don't even bother bringing any sort of traction.
