 | Water Crossing Notes: |
The only major crossing (of the Chocorua River on Weetamoo) was easily hopped on dry rocks. All other drainages were easily hopped as well. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The sections of Liberty I was on was in decent shape, if not a bit eroded in places. Hammond good. Weetamoo had a couple of duck-under trunks lying across the trail. Piper Good. Nickerson Ledge had a couple of duck-under trunks as well. Upper Carter Ledge had a couple of step-over and duck-under blowdowns as well. Middle Sister in good shape overall. Brook had several large step-over and duck-under trunks, and was pretty muddy and eroded in spots. |

Awful below 2500' or so. Mostly mosquitoes, but black flies too. Decent on the ridge with breezes. |

 | Comments: |
Got in a few Chocorua miles, on some lesser used sections, and had the place to myself for most of the day. Saw two guys on Weetamoo, two groups on upper Piper, then a group on Brook as I was descending. Heard a ton of groups on Chocorua, and on Champney. The Sisters were all quiet though. Wish for more wind, and less bugs... or just less bugs. |
