Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: We waded across both crossings of the Dry River, they might have been rock hoppable, but we could not find a spot. At end of Mt Clinton trail, follow cairns on the island downstream. Saco gauge at 900 cfs
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Dry River Cutoff needs some work. Multiple blowdowns obscuring trail, deep mud, and in serious need of brushing . Even a patch of snow! I think this trail may disappear if it does not receive maintenance soon, right now it is almost a bushwhack.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Mosquitoes on Dry River, black flies on Dry River Cutoff and Mt Clinton. I used my headnet.

Comments
Comments: A long loop to see Dry River Falls. The falls are very nice. Dry River Trail was not as difficult as I feared. The parts along the river are very pleasant, some of the bypasses, especially past Mt Clinton Trail, were very rough, but short. Look for cairns to locate where trail continues. 3.5 hrs to falls. Mt Clinton Trail also was not as difficult as feared, most blowdowns removed and had been brushed. Look for cairns at stream crossings to locate trail. Only saw 3 people all day. Trillium still in bloom.
