Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Minimal blowdown. Trails in good shape. Per usual in whites, blazes are minimal, though the slide was effectively blazed towards top, and also a few cairns near top as well.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Plenty of dogs, though we had a small one who struggled on the slides and hat to be put in a dog sling for carrying parts of North Tri slide. Scaur Trail definitely much easier for dogs
Bugs
Bugs: Nothing like we had anticipated/feared. A pockets of bugs down by Livermore/Scaur junction and more at top of Scaur, but never to biting or distracting.

Comments
Comments: We intended to loop down South Tri slide, but given the small doggie with us we opted to double back and descend via Scaur, which was actually quite pleasant. North Tri slide is a beast. I've done the Macomb slide in Adks a couple of times so thought I was already initiated; this is much tougher, though the footing improves on the upper half. Views from the slide were incredible on this perfect hiking day (High clouds, mid-70s)
