| Comments: |
Hiked from South to North. Bare booted in the dark and light snow showers, snowshoes from Wilderness/Bondcliff Tr Jct to Bondcliff. Traction and light traction over to West Bond then back to snowshoes from West Bond Spur to Hut. Lots of ducking under and pushing through the branches because of the depth of the snow. Lost the trail ascending Mt Bond coming off the ridge due to blown in drifting and new snow from this morning. After the morning snow and the clearing as we approached Bondcliff it turned into a 'bluebird sky' day. First winter traverse for all of us and Len completed his W48 on Zealand. Saw only 3 others on the trails until arriving at the Hut. |
