My tiny dog had a blast hiking the 23 miles despite the black flies |

Mosquitoes ate me alive down low and black flies swarmed me above treeline, if you hate bugs like me don’t hike this unless it’s cooler |

Overall good hike despite the million bug bites. Very hot and sunny above treeline so sun protection was important. I also recommend anyone who brings their dog to pack sunscreen and bug spray for them as well and maybe a towel to cover them during breaks. Can’t wait to bag these peaks in winter |
