| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Got one of the last spots in the lot at 9:00 AM (this on a midweek hike!?). Also, the Mt Clinton road is closed just beyond the trailhead, so you cannot continue on to the base station road. The road is also in poor condition. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
There are 3 crossings. The first is bridged, the second is bridged with only one of the 2 original logs and the third is not bridged and requires care with rock hopping. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
One large step over blow down close to the trailhead |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Saw a few. Seemed to be doing fine, there was certainly plenty of water for them below treeline. |
|
| Bugs: |
Very bad in parking lot at start and end of hike. Not too bad above treeline due to nice breeze. Very bad on descent to trailhead. |

| Comments: |
The first 1 1/2 or so miles is fine. Nice dry trail. After that...wet, wet, wet. First the trail just becomes muddy with wet rocks everywhere. Then, the trail has running water on the ledges and trail making for a very slick footpath. Very tedious on descent. All above treeline sections were dry and a pleasure to hike on. |
