Hurricane trail is a hidden gem, albeit a wet one. There are numerous blow downs; large, small, and in-between. It looks like DOC has put some work into the trail since the last time I was on it three years ago, but it still needs some more love. Lots of unavoidable mud pits and running water on the trail (it also poured all morning so that's part of the issue). There is a new view spur cut near the height of land on the trail that provides a neat little look to the south. There were lots of sticks on the ground and I picked up and hucked a few of them. Trail maintenance was not the objective for the evening.
Carriage Road was suuuuper wet, but that makes sense with the morning rain.
Glencliff in great shape. Book time for the trip was 8 hours, did it in 3:08 #crushingbooktime #humblebrag |
