 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail maintenance trip with my brother. I maintain Attitash trail from Table mountain to Moat Mountain trail. We cleared blowdowns and drainages up until the side hill approach of Big Attitash. My brother did a great job brushing the trail and widening the trail. From Bear Notch to Table mountain needs drainages cleared, otherwise trail is in good shape. |

Some of the worst mosquito and black fly attacks I've ever encountered. They are certainly out in full force. |

Out for trail maintenance with my brother. Some of the worse bug conditions I've encountered. We hiked in last night and found a spot well off trail to camp. Got going mid morning and braved the insects. Upon reaching Table mountain ledges I wandered along a spur path to another viewpoint. It appears someone had camped there and left smoldering coals and wood strewn about the ledge. My brother and I spent some time putting the coals out and spreading the wood. We made our way up the trail where my brother did significant brushing work and I worked on blowdowns, leaners and drainages. We only made it about a mile and a half before our turn around time. I will return sometime in September from the other side to complete my run through of the trail. |
