Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The only major crossing, along Valley Way, was easily rock hopped.

Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: The rough, sandpaper-like rocks of the Northern Presidentials could be hazardous to dogs' feet- I talked with at least a few people today who didn't take their dogs for that reason.
Bugs
Bugs: Bad on Madison's summit, and even worse on Adams. They weren't biting, but they were more annoying than any biting bugs. Bring bug spray.

Comments
Comments: Aside from a small patch of snow on the Star Lake Trail, there was no snow or ice on this hike. The trails were mostly dry with some scattered patches of mud and wet ground/rock, particularly close to treeline.
