 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Very limited roadside parking at the junction of Peter Woods Hill Road and Glenn Road in Deering. On the short road walk back to the car, I was approached by a Deering Police officer who asked how the hike was and if that was my car. I had the feeling he wanted to cite me for parking there, but it's not posted against parking and I was able to get completely off the road. It seems like they keep an eye on this area, so use your best judgment. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Blazing is very light and signage is confusing as to what the names of the trails are. From the summit, a trail signed as Ledges Loop Trail allegedly descends around the northern side then back up again. I began to follow it, but soon found no discernible footbed and only a few ancient blazes. It appears to be reclaimed by nature. |

I found the Ledges Loop Trail to be completely lost. |

This is a really short hike, a 0.8 mi. round-trip loop to a nice viewpoint just off the wooded summit to Mt. Kearsarge. The entrance to the trail, signed as "to Pinnacle Trail" is kind of hidden in the woods just behind a stone wall, and is blazed in white. This led a short distance to what might be a private trail coming in from the right. Turning left, it was an easy walk up to the summit. Along this stretch was a sign indicating the name of this trail as Perimeter Trail.
From the summit, the white-blazed trail hairpins left and descends easily back to North Road, 0.1 mi. from the parking spot. |
