|Date of Hike:
||Tuesday, June 4, 2019|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
|Water Crossing Notes:
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||A few blow-downs on Nickerson Ledge, as well as a couple of messy spots on Carter Ledge.
Hammond also has a couple of nasty blow-downs, one of which I keep hoping for Ryan to clear with his farmer strength. Weetamoo is clear. |
||FUN FUN |
||Bugs at parking lot are horrendous. Moved quickly so no issues on trail; summit was windy around sunset so no problems last night. |
|Lost and Found:
||No snow, very little mud, and only a few blow-downs.|
There is a super muddy section on the beginning of the Piper trail where the trail turns hard right (ascending), but it's easy to miss amidst all of the muck. I went left and followed a snowmobile trail which ultimately led me back to the trail, but it was weird. Keep your eyes on the right of the mud pit for a near 90 deg. turn.
Weetamoo is a bit leafy at the moment, but not treacherous. Trails are in great shape for the most part.
