 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
You wind up parking a few feet in from the main road, Half Moon Pond Rd, go too far and you'll get stuck or need to be in a four wheeler. I saw that a couple of other hikers had just settled for parking in the lot at Half Moon Pond a half mile downhill from the turnoff. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
The roadway is rather wet on the way in here and there, which is a mile, and you have the biggest puddles right at the turnoff. Not much of note for mud etc after that, couple wet spots early on. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Nothing really, no blowdowns, good blazework, has cairns, especially at the top. Typical good job on the trail by the trail maintainers. |

 | Dog-Related Notes: |

 | Bugs: |
Oh lots of them, especially on the road coming in and lower part of the trail itself. Use your bugdope. Not so bad on top as the breeze kicked in. |

Greenway. It goes along the old East Washington Rd for a mile before turning N into the Mtn itself.
Typical good hike, Lovewell is never over-hiked but a good trip, the two outlooks on top are worth the trouble to get there, the second one at the peak itself is beginning to grow in just a little so they will want to pay attention to that in the coming years. The first one was expanded a few years back and is much improved.
Trail itself is well cared for. I like the cairns about halfway up and on the top. You can do far worse than to hike this outlyer of Sunapee in Spring or Fall. I do every year and it's worth the time. |
