No problems at Wildcat Mountain Ski Area, there is a sign that says all trail uses need a ticket. I ignored that one. Coming off wildcat ridge and down to the hut took forever because of frozen sidehill steep conditions. I think it was some of the hardest .7 miles I have ever felt in my life. I wish I had brought crampons for one section that was down right scary to cross because of frozen snow and drop below. Once I hit the hut conditions softened up which made it much easier. Rest of the day went on without a hitch. I bushwacked a section below carter dome which was really nice going. I was tired from the wildcat ridge trail, so I decided not to do South and Middle Carter today, but the views were the best today. |
