Not bad if moving, but black flies were out at ledge and mosquitoes were vicious near the gate, even in the cold/windy conditions. |

The trail was generally dry, except for the usual mud pits near the halfway point. Mudpits could be avoided with care.
Fringed polygala, purple violet, white violet, strawberry, and ladyslipper in bloom. |
