Bugs
Bugs: Not too bad at the car or going up the trail but increased during the bushwhack to mighty proportions. We did pick up about 15 ticks between us but that was pretty mild considering the stuff we bushwhacked through.

Comments
Comments: Walked further up Pike Hill Road to just before the Private sign; the Mt. Plymouth Trail turns onto a snowmobile road here. Gravel then grass and soon the trail turns right and up into the woods next to a Mowgliss Wolf blaze. The trail climbs moderately for about 3/4 mile. Pretty wet and muddy as described in the SNH Guide. After a sharp right turn and some more climbing, the trail emerges onto a wide open ledge (no views). It continues down the ledge and curves to the right at the bottom. You'll see a Wolf sign to your right partway down but it is easier to go to the bottom of the ledge before turning back onto the dirt pathway. From here the trail is easy for the most part, climbing very gradually to the summit. One short scramble before you get there. Marked by a summit sign with elevation. We then headed back to that sharp right turn which is at about 1800' elevation and started our bushwhack. Pretty open woods most of the way with one pretty good climb then multiple bumps before you reach the RHP, an orange PVC canister. Took a line straight to the car from here. Managed to stumble onto an old woods road which is pretty overgrown but figured it might be the one next to where we parked. Not bad most of the way with amazing views but became really overgrown the closer we got to the car. Don't know if I'd recommend it this time of year due to the ticks but actually not bad!
