| Water Crossing Notes: |
The water crossing on Stony Brook was low enough that we were able to rock hop. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few blowdowns on the lower part of Stony Brook, including a large one right after the first bridge. A couple on Carter-Moriah between the junction and Imp Campsite, none between the junction and Mt. Moriah summit. |

| Bugs: |
Black flies were pretty bad on the lower part of the trail so we wore spray and bug nets. Didn't need them on the ridge or at the campsite at all. |

| Comments: |
Some very muddy spots, especially on Carter-Moriah, and two unavoidable snowfields between SB and the Moriah summit. Postholed a couple of time but they aren't too deep nor very long. Snowshoes and spikes are definitely overkill for that section. Heard from a lot of hikers coming from Carter Dome that the trail between there and Imp is miserable with snow, though, so we decided not to do the traverse even though we had snowshoes. |
