Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: They weren't great near the trailhead and any damp areas but it was mostly mosquitoes. I pulled a tick off near the Three Ponds. I didn't use any bug stuff as I was mostly jogging and for some weird reason the bugs couldn't keep up (?).

Comments
Comments: Terrific time here - always special. Decided to do the loop CCwise this time with a couple miles added on north of the ponds. I went up to about 2000' near the height-of-land with Whitcher Hill to the snow machine trail north of the ponds. That junction is always a bit sketchy but easy to find if you look for the cairns. Excellent footing most of the way and good jogging. Did about 8 miles I guess, plus or minus. Only saw a couple people. Was reassessing the loop to see if I could maybe mountain bike it - decided it was faster to just jog it although I have ridden it in the past - with a lot of pushing sections....
