Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: we crossed the large stream just above the flume slide trail without getting our boots too wet. We just had to choose the rocks carefully.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: there are a few larger blowdowns on the ridge between Little Haystack and the Liberty Springs trails. I had to hike around one of them, couldn't go under or over it. It looks like a lot has already been cut.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: passed just two dogs on the ridge, and none at all on Liberty Springs trail
Bugs
Bugs: They are out on the lower sections of liberty springs but they weren't bad and weren't biting

Comments
Comments: Yesterday we parked at Liberty Springs lot and walked the bike path to Old Bridle Path. We had an uneventful hike to Greenleaf Hut. Stayed over at the hut on their first night taking overnight guests. Today we headed up to the summit of Lafayette and across the ridge to Liberty Springs Trail. There is a little bit of snow between Little Haystack and the LS trail intersection. Nothing that required us to slow down. Before we headed down Liberty Springs I took a quick peek at Liberty's peak.
