Comments
Comments: Entered the woods and soon came to a stream crossing. Had to move a bit north to get to a point where the bank was not too steep. Once across headed through very thick basswoods for a couple hundred feet before entering clearer woods and steeper terrain. This continued to about halfway up to the summit, then gradually became much more moderate and clearer woods. The summit is a grassy area with one ledge peeking out just before the RHP. On the way back, we decided to head a bit north of our ascent path and stumbled on an old woods road where the land was posted. We followed this until it became apparent it was heading too far off our line. Took another heading straight to the closest road crossing. Much nicer woods than before and a more gradual descent. Came out at the edge of a beaver pond and were able to cross the dam and soon reached the road, not very far up from where we had parked.
