from rt.110 in stark I went up paris rd. to phillips brook rd. then onto trio ponds rd. all look like they went thru a rough winter. there is a big culvert problem on paris rd. I was barley able to sneak around it. one and a quarter mile in trio ponds rd. I parked in an open area. |

from parking I took a grassy road up to a snomo trail to the right and saw mama bear and 2 cubs along the way. up the snomo trail I went to a Y bearing right (a white sign inside the Y says to go right with an arrow). this led right up to the tower. the weather could have been nicer so I only climbed up enough to see there are potentially great views. oh well, maybe another time. I returned on the same trails/roads I went in on. good one!
